Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases has led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to all South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
